History of ECVP
The ECVP took off in 1978, when the first edition was organized in Marburg, Germany, by the Professors John Mollon (Cambridge University), Lothar Spillmann (Freiburg University) and Richard Cavonius (Dortmund University). The meeting has now become a major event for scientists in the field from all over the world.
The ECVP hosts leading experts of vision research. The number of ECVP attendants is steadily rising and has reached 965 scientists in the 2007 edition held in Arezzo, Italy (www.ecvp.org/statistics.html).
