Regensburg is located in the south of Germany, right in the middle of Bavaria at the northernmost point of the Danube.

Since July 2006 the medieval Old Town of Regensburg with Stadtamhof is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

2000 years of history come to life here - including the remains of the Roman fortress Castra Regina, medieval Patrician houses and towers, a large number of churches and monastic ensembles, the Stone Bridge built in the 12th century, the Gothic Cathedral St. Peter and the Perpetual Assembly of the Holy Roman Empire from 1663 to 1806.

You can take a Virtual Tour through Regensburg and visit a picture gallery.
